Superintendent Endorsement

The Superintendent Endorsement is a series of 7 courses and 2 internships that prepare educators for the highest level of leadership in school districts. This online program is thoughtfully designed to fulfill the requirements of the Chief School Business Official endorsement as well. With completion of the Superintendent Endorsement program, students can complete one additional internship EDL 628 to fulfill the ISBE requirements and obtain the CSBO credential for their license.

The Superintendent Endorsement program also earns students a Certificate of Advanced Study from the University of Illinois System. 

Candidates must take and pass content area in each area to qualify for Illinois entitlement.

The School of Education is a university partner of the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA).  

Grading Policy

Passing at the graduate level is considered a B or higher. A maximum of 8 hours of C (2.0) is applicable, provided that a minimum GPA of 3.0 is reached at the time of program completion and an approved Student Petition is on file in the Office of Records and Registration. Grades of C- or lower are not accepted.
