Educational Technology Endorsement

The six courses in the Education Technology program is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) for the purpose of obtaining the Educational Technology Specialist endorsement. With this endorsement, educators are qualified for building and/or district level technology coordinator positions. An active Illinois teaching license and passing of the ISBE endorsement exam is required for entitlement.

The School of Education is a university partner of Illinois Association of School Business Officials (IASBO).

Graduate Degree Opportunity  

Combine the graduate certificate with an additional 12 credit hours of EDL course work to fulfill requirements for a Master of Arts in Education degree or the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree.

Grading Policy

Passing at the graduate level is considered a B or higher. A maximum of eight hours of C (2.0) grades is applicable, provided that a minimum GPA of 3.0 is reached at the time of program completion and an approved Student Petition is on file in the Office of Records and Registration. Grades of C- or lower are not accepted.
