MIS 568. Business Process Management and Innovation. 3 Hours.
This course covers the following: a process-oriented view of the organization and its relationships with suppliers, customers, and competitors; processes as vehicles for achieving strategic objectives and transforming the organization; process analysis, design, implementation, control and monitoring; processes as a means of achieving compliance; impact on work; the role of enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, and customer relationship management systems; and the process continuum - from structured to unstructured processes. The role of Business Process Innovation will also be reviewed in terms of incremental improvements, process automation, and process redesign. Course Information: Prerequisites: MIS 567.
